Since 1989, conserving the rural and historic character of Sheffield, Mass.

We’re a small nonprofit with a big impact. Since 1989, we’ve helped more than 60 families conserve over 5,000 acres. We’ve helped more than 18 farmers benefit from their land’s development value while keeping it as working farmland. We’ve created public trails on conserved land and, through the Sheffield Tree Project, planted more than 150 trees on Sheffield’s streets and public land.

Sheffield Farmers

We work with families so they can leave the lasting legacy that they want to through protecting their farms and orchards, forests, mountainsides, wetlands and wildlife areas. We are always looking for ways to collaborate with our community and local organizations in conserving and stewarding land as well as enhancing recreation opportunities and programs for the public and schools.
